Our Beginning
Established in 2019 by Adrian Cupitt, WAVES embodies excellence and professionalism in every aspect of our operations. Adrian, equipped with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Physics) degree from Queensland University of Technology (QUT) in 2005, brings a wealth of knowledge and hands-on experience to the forefront. With over a decade of dedicated service at QUT’s NATA accredited Photometric Laboratory, Adrian has held key roles as Senior Technician and Director, offering invaluable optical and technical expertise to various academic disciplines, including optometry, radiography, general physics, and digital image processing.
Adrian’s extensive involvement in a multitude of intricate lighting challenges underscores his proficiency in the field. From the meticulous setup and calibration of custom photometric testing equipment to the rigorous testing and development of compliant lighting products, Adrian’s expertise spans a diverse spectrum. Noteworthy achievements include his instrumental role in benchmark testing of LED lights, crucial for advising government bodies on Minimum Energy Performance Standards (MEPS).
