AS/NZS 4282 Control of Obtrusive Effects of Outdoor Lighting
Spill light from public, residential and commercial lighting installations can cause light trespass into neighbouring residents’ windows, and this can cause problems for Council. WAVES Testing, Research and Consulting perform assessments to AS/NZS 4282: Control of the Obtrusive Effects of Outdoor Lighting. The on-site testing involves measurements of vertical illuminance, determination of luminous intensity and threshold increment, and assessment of upward light ratio. The installation is assessed against the requirements provided in the standard to advise whether the installation complies with AS/NZS 4282.
